His fashion journey began humbly in Gary, Indiana, where his early high school sketches laid the groundwork for what would become his fashion empire. By March 2016, he officially launched KAOS, turning his passion into a thriving brand known for high-energy couture and unforgettable stagewear.
McDaniel’s talent roster reads like a who’s who of pop culture royalty — from Marlo Hampton and Phaedra Parks, to music icons like Sylena Johnson, Jennifer Holliday, and SWV. His styling and hair artistry have also graced stars such as TS Madison, Todrick Hall, and a long list of RuPaul’s Drag Race favorites including Alyssa Edwards, Kennedy Davenport, Coco Montrese, Eureka, Jaida Essence Hall, Angeria Van Michaels, Alexis Mateo, Heidi N Closet, and Latrice Royale.
When he’s not designing in his studio — Trinkets & Trimmings (585 Wells St. SW, Atlanta, GA, inside Ambient Studios) — Brandon recharges in Thailand, his favorite travel destination, where the colors and energy often inspire new collections. His favorite hue? Azul, a reflection of calm confidence and boundless creativity.
