As Founder and Senior Pastor of The Vision Cathedral of Atlanta, one of the largest affirming churches in the United States, and Presiding Bishop of the United Progressive Pentecostal Church Fellowship, he leads a growing movement committed to inclusive theology and civic engagement.
He serves on the Board of Directors of the Human Rights Campaign and was appointed by President Barack Obama to the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS. He is the architect of Prevention from the Pulpit, a national faith-based HIV awareness initiative, and Executive Director of the Vision Community Foundation, which serves tens of thousands annually through public health and community empowerment programs.
