Chlon Rogers is a music industry executive, business strategist, author, and founder and CEO of Checkmate Business Management, a firm providing accounting and business services to artists, entertainers, and independent labels. Raised in Columbia, South Carolina, she moved to Atlanta to pursue her passion for business and entertainment, earning a degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting before breaking into the music industry—first through events and promotions and then as a leader in music business management.
Over more than a decade, Rogers has built a reputation for expert guidance on the business side of music, working with Billboard‑charting artists, accruing multiple RIAA certified plaques, and serving as chief operating officer of Think It’s A Game Records, a label behind artists like YFN Lucci, Rich Homie Quan, and Trinidad James.
Rogers is also the author of Music Money, a book designed to educate artists and industry professionals on revenue streams, contracts, and long‑term financial success in the music business.
