Known for her rich ideas and ability to translate vision into strategy, Freda is the founder of Freetyme Consulting, a firm specializing in artist management, small business growth, crisis communications, and brand development. Her career launched in the music and entertainment industry, where she worked with industry leaders including Universal Music, MCA, Dreamworks, and Interscope. While earning her B.A. in Mass Communications from Savannah State University, she also held roles at Walt Disney World and as Promotions Director for Cumulus Radio Group. She later toured with the UniverSoul Circus as Talent Manager and Onsite Publicist.
From artist development to nonprofit leadership, Freda has built trusted brands and campaigns at the intersection of culture, tech, and community. She co-founded BLKTECHCLT, served as VP of Communications during its rise, and led national marketing efforts for the National Black MBA Association and was an advisor for its 44 chapters. Today, she leads a trio of purpose-driven ventures:
- STARLIT Digital – a creative content studio and faith based streaming platform
- The Just Us Group – a nonprofit supporting families navigating Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- The Starlit Foundation – a STEAM centered nonprofit focused on entrepreneurship, education, Ai Ed, and creative empowerment for seniors, youth and faith based communities.
Freda’s impact spans multiple lanes—producing independent film, docuseries, and community-driven campaigns; building STEAM-centered youth programs; and developing faith-based innovation initiatives like Smart Church and Kids Mean Business. A passionate speaker and workshop facilitator, she brings soul, strategy, and storytelling to every stage—whether she’s coaching artists, launching a digital campaign, or teaching the next generation how to lead with purpose.
The wildchild of an educator and a singing pastor, Freda’s work is rooted in love, legacy, and liberation. Her mission is clear: to use media, movement, and marketing to build sustainable communities—both online and on the ground.
