Thomasina Perkins is the Chief Empowerment Officer and Principal Publicist of Capitol Public Relations (CPR), a division of Capitol Global Strategies a firm delivering high-level public relations, brand strategy, crisis management, and film & television locations management across sports, entertainment, politics, and business.
With more than two decades of cross-sector leadership including 19 years in government contracting and 15+ years as an entrepreneur, she has built a reputation for discretion, strategic precision, and calm command under pressure. Often called the “Cultural Whisperer,” Thomasina operates at the intersection of influence and infrastructure, advising brands, founders, and civic leadership through public scrutiny and high-stakes visibility with disciplined strategy and steady command.
A Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth Minority Business Enterprise Fellow, she is an active member of the Recording Academy (DC Grammy Chapter), where she serves as a Grammy Advocacy Team Captain. She is affiliated with the NFL Alumni Association and serves as an NFLPA Marketing Representative. In the cultural and nonprofit arena, she is DC Metro Area Network Director for the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music and Entertainment (NABFEME), PR & Media Team Lead for the Althea Gibson Sports & Education Foundation, and leads public relations efforts for the iconic Black Girls Rock!
Her current slate reflects her multidimensional reach. She leads PR for the female-led independent label Belo & Co. Records and serves as Executive Narrative & Brand Architect to beauty founder Nyakio Grieco of Thirteen Lune and Relevant: Your Skin Seen, shaping founder visibility and cultural positioning within the national retail and inclusive beauty landscape. She is also spearheading publicity for the returning stage production Living All Alone: The Phyllis Hyman Story and is attached to an undisclosed feature film beginning production this spring.
Thomasina entered the entertainment industry with AMC Networks (WEtv) Braxton Family Values and has since contributed to music, film and television projects across Def Jam, Universal, BET, Lifetime, Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon Prime, Tubi, Hulu, and Paramount+. Listed on IMDb in roles ranging from Unit Publicist to Associate Producer and Locations Manager, she made history as the first African American woman Locations Manager listed with the DC Film Office and now leads the Capitol Locations division of CPR.
